Car Show Restroom Planning: Keep Display Areas and Guest Routes Clear

At a car show, the site changes several times in one day. Exhibitors arrive early, display rows fill up, spectators circulate, and vehicles leave after the awards. A restroom location that looks convenient on an empty lot can become difficult to reach once the show is underway. Plan around those changes before finalizing the display map.
Include exhibitors in the operating hours
Public opening time is only part of the rental schedule. Exhibitors, parking attendants, vendors, and volunteers may be onsite well before the first ticket is checked. Arrange for restrooms to be usable during setup and remain available until the team finishes closing the site.
Give the provider expected attendance, exhibitor numbers, event duration, and any nearby permanent facilities you have permission to use. Explain whether spectators can leave and return. These details are more useful than a vehicle count alone when discussing capacity.
Draw the pedestrian route before filling display rows
Locate restroom approaches where guests do not have to walk through active vehicle staging or cross a reversing area. Leave space for a queue outside the doors. Do not use that space for overflow parking later in the morning.
For large or divided lots, show restroom locations on the guest map and brief parking volunteers. If you plan more than one restroom area, make directions specific enough that visitors can find an alternative without asking several staff members. Use the site’s portable toilet options as a starting point for the rental discussion.
Preserve a service corridor
Delivery and servicing require an agreed route. Mark it on the exhibitor layout and tell the team that manages vehicle placement. Avoid assuming the provider can work around a tightly parked display or reach across valuable vehicles. Confirm access conditions directly before the show.
Keep washing, detailing, and vendor storage activities away from the restroom approach. Equipment, hoses, and folding signs can create obstacles even when the original layout was clear. Include portable handwashing stations in the guest route rather than hiding them behind the restroom bank.
Prepare for the awards and departure period
Guests may visit the facilities before a scheduled awards ceremony or before driving home. Assign someone to check supplies and entrances before those transitions. During departure, keep a pedestrian path open even as exhibitors begin moving cars.
- Confirm early-morning access with the venue.
- Keep the accessible route outside vehicle staging.
- Give the onsite lead a copy of the equipment layout.
- Schedule pickup around the actual vehicle-clearance window.
Send Global Sanitation Services your car-show details, including the lot layout and exhibitor schedule, to discuss a setup that fits the way the site will operate.
